What is Kizomba?
Kizomba is a partner dance that originated in Angola, Africa from the dance Semba, but has gained a large following in the Latin Dance scene. It's a freestyle guided by the heavy bass rhythm in the music. The music and dance have evolved over time to include a wide variety of cultural influences including Tango.

About the Instructors:

Lead Instructor:

Rainee Kite is a Performer, Instructor and Choreographer in Myrtle Beach, SC. Rainee started dancing at a young age; predominantly a Hip Hop Dancer, she wasn't introduced to Latin Dancing until her adulthood when she was asked to try Salsa Rueda. She immediately fell in love with the Rhythm, Individuality and Swag that the Latin world offered and quickly gained a reputation early on in Bachata for her smooth/easy follow. As Kizomba made its move from Europe to the U.S., she was among the first to learn, train, and teach the amazing African dance. Rainee has performed professionally since 2007 and has instructed Bachata and Kizomba across the country for the past 3 years. She is extremely grateful for the opportunity to travel, gain new friendships, and share her love/passion for dance.

Assisting Instructor:

Ro Romero is an award winning choreographer and professional dancer in Myrtle Beach, SC. Originally from Ohio, he has been teaching Hip Hop for over fifteen years across the country and even spent part of his high school career on National Tours dancing backup for many of Disney's most well-known pop acts. He danced for 3 years at Legends In Concert Theater Myrtle Beach before deciding to instruct full-time. He has been teaching Bachata and Kizomba for 2 years with partner Rainee.

Rainee and Ro met through Ro's Hip Hop Cardio Class in 2013 and began a dance partnership. Both cross-trained the other and formed R&R Dance. Their unique style, rhythm, and teaching ability have quickly gained them attention and a following which they are incredibly grateful for.
